 I am SO in love with our Christmas Card this year. As I'm sure you could guess, it's all because of the sweet little angel who is featured on the front of our card...

We went with VERY simple this year...mainly because I think the pictures say it all.

Missy Mistletoe the Elf has been very busy teaching Addison all about the true meaning of Christmas and special lessons to be a good person. 

On December 5, Missy taught Addison that she should start saving her money...

On December 6, Missy reminded Addison that she is very pretty...with or without her hairbows :)

On December 7, Missy told Addison that she should love all types of animals...

And on December 8, Missy reminded Addison to share with her friends...

We love having Missy Misteltoe with us this December, we wonder what other lessons she has in store for Addison?!?!

Happy Birthday Addison: 10 Months

Dear Addison Kate,

On December 2nd you turned 10 months old. We can't believe that your first birthday will happen in just two short months!!! You are (and will always be) our greatest gift and we enjoy watching you learn, explore, and smile every day.

You laugh is contagious and it doesn't take much for your to smile. We still can't believe how happy a baby you are :)

You are starting to slim up, as you are getting taller. We cant wait to see how much you weigh and how tall you are at your next appointment.

You are not only crawling lightening fast, but you have started to pull up on everything and are very close to walking.

You are saying Dada and Momma...which is the sweetest sound EVER. You wave bye-bye and hi, play patti cake, and even give high-fives! 

Your top two teeth have started to come in and that toothy smile is GORGEOUS!!

Missy Mistletoe the Elf...

We wanted to start a new tradition with Addison this year...the Elf on the Shelf. At first we thought she might be too young to understand how the Elf works, but now that our Elf has been visiting us for the past week, we think Addison enjoys waking up each morning and not only finding the Elf, but learning the lesson she has to share each day.

Our December 1st, Santa left the sweetest note and a special surprise for Addison...

You see, Missy Mistletoe is an EXTRA special Elf. While most Elves report back to Santa and share whether little boys and girls have been naughty or nice, Missy teaches Addison about the true meaning of Christmas and important lessons about being a good little girl.

 Addison really loves Missy Mistletoe and has the biggest smile each morning when she finds her. On December 2 we woke up to find Missy reading Addison's Bible and the story of Jesus' birth...

On December 3, Missy reminded Addison to always say her prayers before she goes to bed each night...

On December 4, Missy's lesson was to always eat your fruits and vegetables...

Missy Mistletoe is such a smart little Elf. We can't wait to see what other lessons she'll be teaching Addison this Christmas season!

Oh Christmas Tree...

The day after Thanksgiving we chose NOT to participate in Black Friday...but instead, purchased our Christmas tree and started decorating for the best Christmas yet!

We found the perfect tree...

We didn't realize just how big it actually was though until we got it home!!!

But we made it work and now we absolutely love it!

I still can't get over the fact that we have THREE stockings hanging from our mantel :)

This little Christmas baby fills our hearts with pure JOY!

I think that my favorite Christmas decoration so far is this little tree we put up in Addison's room...

It is simple and sweet...just like our little girl!

Being Thankful...

This Thanksgiving had a whole new meaning...now that we have Addison Kate in our lives. She means the world to us and we spent our first Thanksgiving as a family of three feeling thankful for our sweet angel.

We got up that morning, got our little turkey dressed, and headed to our family luncheon.

We decided to take a picture of the entire family because so many of them were able to attend...

We even had Kodi and McDuff in the picture this year!

SO thankful for this adorable and sweet girl...

I thank God every single day for my family of three...

What a fabulous Thanksgiving we had!

Santa Baby!

We took Addison to see Santa last night and we had the best time! This girl LOVES people!!! All she wanted to do was people-watch the entire trip to the mall. As we walked to see Santa, Addi laughed, pointed, and smiled at everyone in sight. I just LOVE this little girl :)

Here is our sweet angel in her Christmas-best...

When we set her in Santa's lap, she just stared at him....

We tried and tried to get a big smile, but this little smirk is all we got...

I'm sure her parents embarrassed her to pieces because those CRAZY two were jumping up and down and playing peek-a-boo as she sat in Santa's lap :)

But like a good girl, Addison told Santa all the things she wants for Christmas and even promised Rudolph some special snacks when he visits on Christmas Eve.

Daddy thought it would be a fun idea for ALL of us to have our picture taken with Santa...

 We can't wait for Santa to visit us again on Christmas Eve and see the excitement in this little girl's face when she wakes up on Christmas morning. 

Christmas Photo Shoot...

We had our first photo shoot as a family of THREE! I never knew how different getting our pictures taken would be with a baby :) Addi was NOT willing to give up her sweet smile at the beginning of the shoot, but Pops got a few smiles out of her toward the end of the session. Here are a few of the photos...we are saving the BEST shots for our Christmas cards, so you'll have to stay tuned for those!

9 Month Birthday Hat...

I realized I forgot to post Addi Kate's 9 month birthday hat pics...

It's getting harder and harder for me to take pictures of her in the hats because all she wants to do is touch them :)

Nevertheless, she's still the cutest thing in the world to me...

Happy 9 month birthday little girl...we love you more and more every single day!

Addison gets Dedicated...

This past weekend Addison participated in the Baby Dedication at our church. We met our family at the church, listened to Pastor Russ pray over our baby girl, and we came back to our house for a mini-celebration. 

We planned a lot of little details that made the day special for our family of THREE!

I picked out this sweet pink corduroy and smocked dress for Addison to wear...

But what made it even more special was that we sewed the ivory cross that her great great grandfather made to the inside of the dress. 

Here is our family of THREE during the service...

At our house after the service, we ate lunch, enjoyed family, and continued to celebrate our sweet little girl. Here is the table we set up with a cake and our special Blessing Jar...

We had all our guests write a special blessing for Addison, tie it up, and place it in the jar. One day, when she's old enough to read, we'll show her the blessings and let her read them. 

Addi opened a few unexpected gifts from her family...

It was certainly a blessed day. We are SO thankful for Addison's sweet little life and every day seems to get better and better because of our little blessing.

Happy Birthday Addison: 9 months

Addison Kate,

You turned 9 months old on Saturday, November 2, 2013. You have accomplished SO many milestones this month and are growing way too fast.

You had your 9 month well-visit and currently weigh 21 pounds and 5 ounces. You are 29 inches tall. Your bottom two teeth have been in for awhile now, but your two top teeth are making an appearance. Is that all you want for Christmas? Your two front teeth???

You stood up a few weeks ago and are starting to test the waters by letting go and balancing for a little while. Your Daddy and I are SO afraid that you are going to start walking soon. As much as we are THRILLED to see you accomplish another milestone, we are so sad that our baby girl is growing up.

It warms our hearts to see how much you love people. When we take you to restaurants or shopping at the grocery store, all you want to do is  smile at EVERYONE.  Just so you know, you got that characteristic from your Daddy...your Mommy is definitely an introvert :) We took you to the church nursery for the first time this past weekend and you couldn't wait to play with the other kids. You ADORE children, especially your Cousin Mikey. You have also started kissing...both your family and your stuffed animals. The Snoopy dog you received from your Great Uncle Jeff gets the majority of your kisses...but you do save a few for your Bitty Baby, Bunny, and Bear. 

Your hair is white blonde and is growing so thick (your Pops tells us this almost every time he sees you). We are able to put bows in your hair now without the headband and you like this a lot better. We think your hair is going to be pretty like D-ma's or Aunt Lisha's. Mommy is so thankful you didn't get her  hair :)

We know we say this every month, but you are the happiest, sweetest, and most lovable baby girl. You put a smile on ALL our faces...family, friends, and even strangers. You are the greatest blessing and we are so thankful for your sweet little life.
