Shrek Jr. and Princess Fiona...

My school puts on a fall musical each school year and this year they chose Shrek Jr. We have taken Addison the past three years to see the musicals because they have all been age appropriate for her. The first year was the Lion King and last year was Yo Vikings. As expected, she was pretty excited to see Shrek Jr.

But what made this year's musical even more special was a surprise that my Technical Theatre teacher made for her. After creating all the costumes for the cast, she discovered that she had some left over material from Fiona's dress. So when I came back to my office after a long day of teacher observations, I found the cutest mini-Fiona dress and ears in my office. 

We didn't have enough time to try the dress on before the performance, but she loved the Fiona headband! 

But the next day, we had a Princess Fiona Day!!!

She can definitely be an ogre some times, but she's the prettiest little ogre I've ever laid eyes on :)

Addi and Mommy...

Daddy went out of town for almost a week, so Addi and I got to spend some much needed girl time together. So of course, what did we do first? Mani and pedi time!!!

She insisted on the blue and purple combo :)

We also had a lot of fun playing with  SnapChat filters...

One thing is for sure, this little girl keeps me smiling!

Guess what?!?!?

Sometimes I regretted not getting her ears pierced when she was a baby, but had always wanted her to decide if and when she wanted them done. Well, the time finally arrived and she talked non-stop about getting her ears pierced. We walked through all the steps with her prior and when the time finally came, she was rockstar!!!

No tears and ALL SMILES!!!

Spooktacular...

The Jacksonville Zoo puts on an event called Spooktacular leading up to Halloween. Since David had plans to be out of town for Halloween night, we decided to go to  Spookacular and let Addi wear her Maleficent costume. We also brought along Roni Lynn and BB. 

I really felt like the Jacksonville Zoo did an OUTSTANDING job this year with the decorations. Normally they carve real pumpkins, so by the time we go at the end of October, the pumpkins look and smell terrible. But this year, they had fake pumpkins that lit up...

They had some of the same characterst hat we see year after year, like Peter Pan and Captain Hook...

The Wicked Witch, Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Lion...

But they also brought in a few new characters...

Overall, Spookacular was a HUGE hit with these three silly girls!

Meet Maleficent...

I think Addi Kate's Halloween costume this year was my absolute FAVORITE! I wasn't too excited that she wanted to be a Disney Villian, but I must admit that she was the pretty Disney Villian EVER. Meet Maleficent...

Addi Kate, I mean Maleficent, definitely has the "mean" face perfected :)

I think she was showing off because we put a little purple eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick on her :)

She might be an evil villain, but she sure is pretty!!!

Pumpkin Carving...

We had the perfect Maleficent pumpkin stencil picked out for this year's pumpkin. BUT Addi Kate had other ideas. She insisted on a black cat for our pumpkin this year. So...Daddy and Addi got to work!

Addi wanted to help with pulling all the seeds out of the pumpkin...

Her job was to clean the seeds and put them on the cookie tray...

Daddy worked his magic and our pumpkin turned into the perfect black cat (with a ghost)...

Feel the Beat!

Addi Kate's Uncle Brian plays the drums. So I had to take a video of our girl feeling the beat...

He told us that she needed to work on not lifting her elbows, but she could have a future playing the drums!

Just horsing around...

Addison loves ALL animals, but she sure does have a soft spot for the horses at Connor's Amaizing Acres.  This year they dyed one of the horse's mane, tail, and legs. So of COURSE Addi Kate had to ride the purple one :)

She was a PRO and was so proud of herself.
