The Crib...

From the day we brought Addi Kate home from the hospital, she's been sleeping in the Rock-n-Play. Some very good friends of ours told us that the Rock-n-Play was a lifesaver for them and their baby slept really well in it. So we signed up for one on our baby registry and were very excited to receive it at one of our showers. Addi has loved sleeping in it and has been a GREAT sleeper! Although we were warned over and over and over again that we probably wouldn't get any sleep with a new baby, we luckily never experienced that.

The thought of Addi NOT sleeping in her Rock-n-Play makes me sad. I guess I equate her sleeping in her crib as yet another sign that she is growing up. And growing up WAY TOO FAST, I might add :( Luckily we have two cribs...one in her nursery and one in our bedroom. So we bit the bullet this weekend and let Addi sleep in the crib in our bedroom. To my surprise, she slept throughout the night. 

And I might have cried my eyes out when I folded up her Rock-n-Play and stored it in our extra bedroom :)

Look Who is Learning to Sit Up!!!

We have been working on teaching Addi Kate how to sit up on her own. We plan to take her to swim lessons in August so it's important that she learns how to sit up on her own before we go.

Mommy's 40th Birthday...

Mommy celebrated her 40th birthday on our vacation. I woke up that morning and gave her some presents...

Look Mommy, I'm opening it for you!

This is for a night's stay at one of your favorite hotels, Ocean One, in Jacksonville Beach.

After we opened your gifts, you and Daddy took me on my first carousel ride...

  And I LOVED it!!! I hope we can go back and ride it again soon.

We spent the afternoon on the boat again and it always makes me very very sleepy...

Overall it was a great day and I think Mommy had a very special 40th birthday.

Our camping trip was a huge success because Addi had a great time!

Our First Family Vacation...

We went on our first family vacation this past week. We didn't travel too far because we wanted to make sure that we were close to home in the event that Addison wasn't too excited about camping. So we stayed close to home and camped at Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine.

Here we are all loaded up and ready for our first family vacation...

It took us a little longer than normal to get all set up in our site because Mommy had to entertain and watch Addi. So kudos to Daddy for getting everything all set up for us...

We decided that the first thing we would do was to ride around the park and see the beach. So we fastened Addi Kate in for a ride on the bike...

Addi loved the beach, as usual...

We had a GREAT week and took WAY too many pictures. So we'll share more pictures in another post from our first family vacation.

TWO Teeth!!

Look who has TWO teeth!!

She's getting way too big, way too fast!!

Red, White,and CUTIE!!!

We had another first last week...we celebrated July 4th with our baby girl. I had the sweetest outfit made by one of my friends and I could hardly wait to see how adorable Addison would look in it...and boy was she adorable with a capital A!!

We had a small get-together/pool party at our house and had a great time celebrating America with our family.

We talked (or actually bribed) Mikey to take a picture with Addison. Aren't they the sweetest cousins?

And of course we had to get a photo of our family of THREE!

Addi was so happy the entire day. She danced with Daddy...

She went swimming in the pool...

She giggled at her grandparents...

And she experienced her first fireworks...

Every day just gets better and better with our red, white and CUTIE!

Visitors...

Addison had two special visitors these past two weeks...her Aunt Lisha and AunTee!

Aunt Lisha met you for the first time and fell in love with you. She spent a lot of time with you at Ponderville and got to see your sweet personality and contagious smile.

When AunTee saw you she couldn't believe just how much you had grown. She too was mesmerized by your happy disposition and you stole her heart with your toothy grin.

Both of your aunts spoiled you rotten and enjoyed spending their time with you.

We hope they come back again and visit VERY SOON!

5 Month Birthday Hat...

We had our monthly photo shoot with our girl this week! We can hardly believe she's FIVE months old?!?!?

We love you sweet girl!

Happy Birthday Addison: 5 months

Sweet Addison Kate,

Today is July 2, 2013 and you are 5 months old. Technically you are 21 weeks and 3 days, but I was told that I needed to start counting your birthday by using the 2nd day of each month instead of weeks since your birth date. This little fact is driving your OCD Mommy crazy...but I'm trying my best to go with the flow :)

Nevertheless, here are some of the highlights we've experienced with you this month...

You have your first tooth! It is on the bottom and on the left. Bless your heart...you are normally happy and content ALL THE TIME, but this tooth has been giving you a rough time and you've been so fussy. Mommy talked with the doctor this week and hopefully we've found something to make you feel better.

We still love showing you off and enjoy taking you everywhere we go. You've gone to Atlantic Beach, Mommy's school, Ponderville, D-ma's house, restaurants and many many other places. The most popular comment we get when someone meets you for the first time is...Addi Kate is SO big! You probably weigh about 17 pounds now, but what everyone notices is your height. Daddy and I think you are going to be one tall little lady! 

You have also started to crawl. You haven't really moved forward or backward, but you've learned how to rotate around so you can see your toys or anyone that is talking to you. Here is a little video of you turning around...I just love it!
