We're on a Boat!

We went out on the boat this weekend and the weather was just gorgeous! Our girl STILL loves the water...

...and we LOVE her!!!

8 Month Birthday Hat...

Every month seems to be a lot more fun than the previous month...

I tried putting the hat on her like I do every month, but Addi refused...

She was much more interested in playing with the hat instead!

The Pumpkin Patch...

I have been looking forward to the day when I would be able to take my child to the pumpkin patch, take pictures of him/her, and pick out our favorite pumpkin for carving. Well, my dream finally came true this past weekend and it was everything I imagined it would be. 

The pumpkin patch we chose, unfortunately, was designed for older kids, but we made the most of it. There were hayrides, train rides, and a corn maze. But we chose to set our sweet little girl on a stack of hay and let her experience the touch and feel of the hay. She is so curious these days...

We also put her in the collection of pumpkins they had for sale. Here she is perched on top of one of the biggest pumpkins they had...

I know it's hard to believe, but Addi Kate is ALWAYS happy. This picture truly captures her fun and playful personality...

Daddy took Addi into the petting zoo and they were able to see and touch some goats, pigs, and peacocks.

I was so glad to share this special day with Addi's grandparents...

Our family is finally complete with the addition of this sweet angel...

I couldn't be more thankful that my dreams of becoming a mom have finally come true. I cried tears of joy that evening admiring the sweetness in Addison's face and knowing that God had this beautiful little girl picked out for me all along.

Happy Birthday Addison: 8 months

Addison Kate,

On Wednesday, October 2, 2013, you turned 8 months old. Your Daddy and I still can't believe how blessed we are to call you our daughter. Your little face is the prettiest thing we've EVER seen!

You are crawling all over the place!!! Poor Kodi doesn't stand a chance now that you are on the move. All you want to do is either follow him, grab his tail, or try and get his dog food bowls. But he doesn't mind, we can normally find him laying right by your side.

You are also talking up a storm!!! You've got Dada down to a Science, but we are still working on Momma. 

We aren't sure how much you weigh because you do not have another Well-Visit until 9 months, but we would guess you are probably around 22 pounds. You decided this past week that you didn't like Mommy's homemade baby food, so we've moved to the store bought kind. 

You are so curious about your surroundings. You want to touch everything you see and unfortunately, you like to put everything in your mouth too :( You also had your first runny nose...we aren't sure where that came from because you didn't have a fever or act fussy, but your nose ran for a few days nonetheless.

Mommy LOVES that your hair is getting longer and starting to thicken up. You have a few long hairs growing over your ears :)

Your paci is definitely one of your favorite toys...which we can imagine will not be so fun for Mommy and Daddy one day. But we can put three or four pacifiers in your crib and you will play for hours.

Addison, we can't imagine our lives without you in it...you brighten our day, you put a smile on our faces, and your laugh is contagious.
