2nd Dentist Visit...

Now that Addison has lost her SECOND tooth, we thought we might better take her back to the dentist to make sure her new teeth are coming in the correct way. Addison was a little scared, but we reassured her that since she's done a good job of brushing, that her visit to Dr. Bright would be a breeze. And yes it was!

Addi picked out "cupcake" flavored toothpaste for her cleaning and loved having "pictures" taken of her molars.

Why does Addison look like a 16  year old???? She has LEGS FOR DAYS, that's for sure!

I am so happy the visit went well and she wasn't in the least bit scared once we arrived. We'll see you in the next 6 months Dr. Bright! 

Getting Birthday Ready...

It's Addi's birthday week! I still can't get over the fact that she's turning FIVE and I still can't believe I let Daddy convince me into NOT doing a big birthday bash this year. Regardless, I think Addi will have a great birthday and birthday party. 

We sent out invitations for her Sweet Pete's party this week and I fell in love with a few shots from her backyard photo session :)

We used this last one for the back of her invitations...oh so sweet!!!!

I also decided that some traditions CAN'T be broken...so for her home birthday party, we will be playing a little game of "I scream, you scream, Addi screams for ice cream?" It's not the same as our traditional "Pin the ____ on Addi Kate" but close!

And of course I asked Pops to create her a wooden #5!

It's perfect...just like my almost 5 year old :)

Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles...

I discovered over the Christmas break that Addison enjoys putting puzzles together. And she's GREAT at it!

She's been working on the puzzles with bigger pieces, but we'll start working on ones with smaller pieces soon.

She is getting quicker at putting them together and asks me less and less for help. 

Beautiful AND smart :)

2nd Tooth Fairy Visit...

Our little girl lost her SECOND tooth! How can this be? 

This time, Addi was eating her goldfish and realized she couldn't chew one of the pieces. Well, sure enough, it was her tooth!

I'm just so glad she didn't swallow it! It was so loose and we kept encouraging Addi to pull it, but she kept saying it wasn't "ready."

The Tooth Fairy came again and left Addi $4...she was pretty excited!

Slow down little girl!

Addi Kate's Sweet Celebration...

Daddy has convinced me to have a "regular" birthday party for Addison instead of the big extravaganza we normally have. So I'm going to try it this year. It pains me a little, only because I really enjoy prepping and planning for her special day. But this year we'll do something a little low key and have her party at Sweet Pete's. We've taken Addi there a few times. They have the best restaurant, but of course she adores all the candy. One of our friends had her party there and the kids get to create their own candy, take a tour of the candy shop, and even taste some of the candy too :)

So for now, I'll just share a sneak peek of the invitation I had created for Addi Kate's Sweet Celebration!

Oh...and how in the world is my sweet little baby almost five?!?!?!

2017 Christmas...

Christmas day was extra special this year. Addi really understood the true meaning of Christmas and to watch it through her eyes was mesmerizing. I hope she always understands who is the greatest gift of all.

She woke up to a ballet barre and tutus from Santa.

So of course she had to try it out...

This is also the first time she's had any Barbies and I think she liked them :)

That afternoon we headed to PonderVille to have Christmas with Jilly and Pops before the rest of the Knight family joined us. Addi was surprised with this adorable teepee!

Addi was proud to give (and show) Jilly her new Chatbook...year 4 of Addison!

Addi also got some Fingerlings...she wasn't too sure about them at first...ha ha!

But she loved her glittery LOLs!

Addi was thrilled to spend time with her cousins, Litsa and Eleni. She followed them around PonderVille ALL AFTERNOON!

She also enjoyed showing off AddiLand...

It must have been a fun Christmas...because this little girl was asleep in the car by 7:45 :)

Addi Kate's Cottage...

Christmas morning was even better than I expected. 

Addi also decided to call it her cottage...so instead of playhouse, it will be Addi Kate's Cottage :)

No words need it...I think she "says" it all in this final picture :)

2017 Christmas Eve Celebration...

We had Christmas Eve at D-ma's house again this year.  The Knight Family helped us a celebrate as we watched the Jags play, had delicious food, and opened Christmas gifts. And of course Addi was her sassy-self :)

D-ma found the coolest placemats for the kids to decorate. Addi really likes coloring, painting, and drawing.

We also convinced Addi to be "Santa" this year...this means that she helps pass out all the gifts. And she MUST wear the hat :0)

Watching this little girl open gifts NEVER gets old...

Sweet dreams little one...I can't wait to see your face on Christmas morning!

Finished Playhouse...

So we finished the playhouse and just in time! David stayed up until 3:00 am on the Eve of Christmas Eve taking care of all the paint. Then Christmas Eve morning, he took Addison shopping while I decorated. I absolutely adore the finished look...

How perfect is this blank space...Daddy and Pops did an outstanding job! Now to decorate :)

I think the loft is my FAVORITE part!!!

I think Addi is going to love this little mirror. I even put her feather boas, pearls, gloves, and makeup compacts (left over from her Garden Tea Birthday Party) in a basket for her to use for dress up.

I've had this sign for over a year now and knew I would be perfect in her playhouse one day. I also used it for her Garden Tea Birthday Party last year. This sweet table and chairs were repurposed after we found it on the side of the rode. Yes...it was FREE! And with a little love and a lot of paint, it looks adorable in its new home!

I also repainted this easel...it was a Christmas gift for Addi a few years ago. 

The kitchen set was at my parent's house...we are giving them our red set and they gave us their pink set.

The banner and stuffed animals were also items we already had...the banner was actually used at Addi's 1st birthday party!!!

This sweet space is ready for Christmas morning :)
