Roadside Flowers...

I've dreamed of taking my baby girl's picture in all the beautiful roadside flowers. On our way to Destin a few weeks ago, we saw a ton of pretty wildflowers on the side of the road.

It took a little convincing, but David finally gave in...

Happy Birthday Addison: 4 months

Addison,

Today is May 25, 2013 and you are 4 months old. You have really shown us how playful and loving your personality is this month. We've even heard a few giggles this month and each one is the BEST sound in the entire world.

You've moved up to size 2 diapers and have started to drink only 6 ounce bottles (with a few 8 ounce bottles too). You are still the best sleeper although Mommy is feeling guilty for not putting you in your crib at night. You are snug as a bug in your Rock n Play right next to Mommy every night :)

You are definitely a water baby...you love bath time, the beach, and the pool. We see swimming lessons in the near future. 

You've also started to really notice Kodi. You follow him with your eyes and have even tried to reach out and touch him a few times. 

Mommy and Daddy are starting to wonder if you'll be left handed.  We've noticed that you put your left hand in your mouth a LOT!

You are also drooling like CRAZY! I think this means you'll have a few teeth some time soon.

You are still (and always will be) the BEST thing that has ever happened to us. We can't imagine being any happier than we are now that you've come into our lives.

Your 4 month well visit isn't until next week, so we'll have to update the blog later on your weight and height. 

***UPDATE***

We took Addi in for her 4 month doctor visit and she weighs 16 pounds 3 ounces and is 26 inches long.

We love you more than the world Addison Kate!

Happy Four Month Birthday!

Beach Baby...

We took Addi on her first trip to Destin this past weekend. And we DEFINITELY have a beach baby! We met up with four other couples for a weekend get-together and had the greatest time. We haven't been to Destin the past two years, so we were thrilled to pull up to this pretty site...

The water really does take your breath away...and our beach house? WOW!!!

We couldn't wait to see how Addi Kate would react to being on the beach, so we put her in her suit as soon as we unpacked...

All the kids were ready for an afternoon on the beach...

We were overjoyed to discover that our little girl is just like Mommy and Daddy and  LOVES the beach...

She played, slept, and was so content the entire 4-5 hours that we spent on the beach. Daddy found this fabulous tent that helped protect Addi from the sun and was perfect for our trip...

I'd say Addi approved :)

Daddy had to take our girl out in the water for a photo...

But the majority of the time, Addi just hung out, laughed, and enjoyed our beach vacation...

The next day our friends planned a beach bonfire...

We had tiki torches set up with lawnchairs, bonfire, music and SMORES!!!

Our little family of three had a GREAT time with our friends!

We really wished our mini beach vacation could have lasted longer, but we had a great time introducing Addison to our friends.

AND we love the fact that we have our very own Beach Baby!

Newborn Photos...

She definitely has the same juicy lips!!! What an angel :)

Mother's Day...

My first Mother's Day...just typing those words makes my eyes well up with tears.

 Last year for Mother's Day, I received a box of chocolate covered strawberries with this note...

What a difference a year makes. This year, I received this note...

This note was tucked sweetly in these two dozen tulips...

My heart EXPLODED when I read the card and of course I balled my eyes out too :)

All I wanted to do on my first Mother's Day was spend every single moment with my greatest gift...

And that is exactly what we did! We snuggled, kissed, played, and even hung out in the backyard while Daddy mowed the yard.

Daddy had a fun treat for me that involved these ingredients...

We made molds of Addi Kate's hands and feet...

Then Daddy and Addi surprised me with this VERY special gift...

My first Mother's Day was every thing I could have imagined. I will cherish the memories I made with my family that day forever.

I am so thankful for my sweet girl and I love that God chose ME to be her Mommy.

Birth Announcements...

We FINALLY sent out Addi Kate's birth announcements this week. Yes, we know she's already 3 months old, but birth announcements were a must for this little miracle girl. 

And we LOVED how they turned out...

That Smile...

I had no idea just how much I would be in love with this little girl...NO IDEA!!! And her smile is contagious! Our girl is always smiling :)

We started off the week giving her a bath in her big girl bath tub...

This girl LOVES bath time, which makes it so much fun for us too!

Litsa does a great job of sending me pictures of Addi during the day while I'm at work. This next picture is my new favorite picture of my girl...

She looks like she's ready to go golfing with Daddy...and I love it :) Her eyes just sparkle when she's smiling.

Addi also hit another milestone this week. She's able to really lift her head when she's having tummy time...

She's also rolled over a few times...from her stomach to her side to her back.  I need to try and catch her on video. Addi Kate is growing up WAY TOO FAST!!! 

We celebrated Pops birthday this weekend so Addi sent him a special message...

We just can't get enough of that smile :)
