13 Week Ultrasound...

We had a big ultrasound and appointment today with the High Risk doctor. They had a long conversation with us about all the potential risks involved with having a baby at my age, with our infertility history, miscarriages, Crohn's Disease, etc. BUT...I truly believe that God brought us through this journey for a reason, hand-made this perfect baby just for us, and is going to continue to protect this miracle through pregnancy, birth, and for a lifetime!

After our  conversation (and lots and lots of prayer), we had our ultrasound. It was a long ultrasound...thank goodness, because it seemed like FOREVER since the last time we saw our baby. They were looking for any indication that the baby might have Downs Syndrome or any other genetic disease. Two of the indicators that they look for are the bone in the nose and the tissue behind the neck. Praise the Lord that both of these looked fabulous today. As a matter of fact, the doctor said we had a textbook ultrasound and the baby looked great!

We might be a little biased, but we think he/she looks pretty perfect (if we do say so ourselves)...

Just look at that sweet profile!!!

We are head over heels in love!!

Love you Baby Knight...more than the world :)

Pregnancy Announcement

David and I decided to finally announce our pregnancy to the rest of our family and friends. We have been looking for something special and unique to share with everyone and I found this adorable idea and had a coworker create one for us...

Here is a close up of the canvas...

I can't wait to post this on my other blogs and facebook page!

Baby Gifts

My birthday was last week and I just had to share two of the sweet gifts I received. They are both baby related and are just so so precious!!

We visited this adorable little antique shop at the beach when Jilly and Pops were in town and found these sweet little chairs. Jilly said they would be perfect for either a "time-out" chair or for a tea party!! So Jilly and Pops bought us the chairs and D-ma found the cutest matching table at Pottery Barn Kids...

I can't wait to see Baby Knight having a tea party and drawing at this table with friends!

My parents surprised me at lunch one day with a sweet baby gift for my birthday. A Pandora bracelet...

So far I have a baby carriage, a pacifier and a little ducky...aren't the charms just precious! I LOVE wearing my Mommy bracelet and can't wait to fill it with different charms that remind me of our baby.

I LOVE baby gifts :)

Celebrating 10 Weeks

We had a FABULOUS final ultrasound with our fertility clinic today. It was definitely a bitter sweet appointment. We are so thankful to be moving to our OB next week, but we formed some really great relationships with the staff at Jacksonville Center for Reproductive Medicine.

This week we brought Jilly, Pops, and D-ma to meet the baby. And there wasn't a dry eye in the house when we saw this pretty little angel on the ultrasound screen...

Our baby actually LOOKED like a baby today. He/she was absolutely amazing. I had been stressing the past two days because I had been experiencing some stretching pains and now I see why. The baby had grown DOUBLE in size from the past week's ultrasound appointment. He/she is measuring 3.25 cm and wiggled and wiggled and wiggled during the entire ultrasound. We even got to see the baby experience the hiccups...too cute.

Here is the ultrasound video. David recorded it from the DVD that our doctor gave us and it's SO cool :)

We decided to go out to dinner with the grandparents to celebrate our 10 week appointment. So here we are outside of Maggiano's...

We are looking forward to our first OB appointment next week and seeing our little bundle of joy again!

Making the Appointment

I called and made an appointment with our OB today. I literally got choked up on the phone during my conversation with the receptionist...I never thought I would ever have the opportunity to make an appointment like this. What a blessing!!

We have our first appointment with our new OB on July 20. Although I am SO sad to be leaving our fertility doctor, the office staff, and their facility...we are thankful to have a successful pregnancy and healthy baby.

We are looking forward to meeting our OB and can't wait to experience the joy of watching our baby grow.
