Happy Birthday Addison: 20 Months

Time flies...and I absolutely hate it :( Our little girl turned 20 months a few weeks ago.

We celebrated her 20 month birthday with her great grandmother, who turned 960 months(80 years old) the week prior.

Addison is really starting to talk this month. She is starting to put together phrases and it's the sweetest little voice you've ever heard. She has started to sing her ABCs and can sings "A, B, C, D....H, I..." and it's all over the place after that!!! She is also counting everything...her fingers, brings on the sidewalk, and when she's ready for Pops to take off real fast on the golf cart.

We are constantly telling her to be nice to Kodi...she wants to hug him, lay on him, pull his tail, pull his ears, etc. Bless his heart...he just lets her do it :)

Addi's dance moves are expanding...she can do an arabesque, tendu, passe', and chase'. When we put her in a skirt or tutu, she twirls and twirls and twirls.

Addi Kate has been pretty sick over the past month. I think we've visited the doctor's office at least 4-5 times this past month. She doesn't "feel" bad, she just has had a runny nose and a cough that won't go away. Regardless, she's the happiest baby I've ever met.

Daddy and I are looking forward to Halloween this year. Addison can tell you that she will be a bumblebee this year and we are working on saying "trick or treat."

We love you MORE than the world sweetheart...don't you EVER forget that!

Grandparents' Tea...

Addi Kate's school hosted a Grandparents' Tea this past week. We were asked to bring photos of Addi's grandparents so they could display them on the classroom door and they spent time during the week creating some artwork with a poem to give to the grandparents.

As you can see by the pictures, Addi was BEYOND excited to have her grandparents take her to school and spend the day with her.

This next picture KILLS me...I swear she looks like she is five!!! Stop growing sweet girl...

She walked hand-in-hand with D-ma and Jilly to school...

They played with Addi's classmates, ate a few cookies, and enjoyed the time with family...

Such a sweet memory...I know Addi will cherish these photos one day!

Knight Family Reunion, 2014

We attended the Knight Family Reunion over the Labor Day weekend. It was fun to see the difference in how much Addison had grown in just over a year...

Addi continues to be a social butterfly and will go to just about anyone. She does put on a little shy act, but it never lasts more than a few minutes. At one point she was loving on an extended cousin and admiring her necklace and I couldn't get her to even let ME hold her!!!

Here is the whole Knight clan...

We made a quick outfit change so we could head to Daddy's Fantasy Football Draft party and then grabbed a few pictures with D-ma...

I just can't get over the sweetness in these two photos! She sure does love her D-ma!

Because she didn't nap at the reunion, she crashed hard in the car. This next photo will show you just how sweet and happy this little girl ALWAYS is...

Sound asleep (although D-ma and I were trying to keep her awake until we got to our next destination), with her remote control (NOT a phone), and SMILING!

Sweet sweet girl and sweet sweet family time!

Happy Birthday Addison: 19 Months

Our little girl is growing like crazy!!! I can't even believe she turned 19 months last week. Time is definitely flying...and flying way too fast :(

Addi Kate has finally learned to pose for the camera...you'd think after 19 months with picture-addicted parents, she would have learned a lot sooner. But nonetheless, she has started smiling and posing when we ask her to let us take her picture.

Addi's vocabulary is growing and growing! I'm amazed every day with the new words that she says. This month she added blocks, bracelet, Snoops (our nickname for Snoopy), gone, sorry, colors (purple, red, and pink), Tim (for Uncle Tim), most of Jilly's dogs names...Presley, Binky, FruFru, and she has started trying ro sing both the ABC song and Patty Cake.

Addison's hair is getting longer and longer...and I couldn't be happier!!

We've been putting it in pig tails and in a pony tail...as much as she will let us anyway:)

One of our favorite things to do is wake Addi Kate up in the mornings. She will lay in bed and just smile up at us...and then in her sweet little voice, she'll say "Hi." We love love love this little girl to pieces.

We aren't quite sure of her measurements this month, but she's definitely losing the baby fat and getting taller. We'll take her next month to get her measurements.

Addison Kate...I hope you know that Daddy and I love you MORE than the world (and so much more)!

Boating Weekend...

We had a boating weekend not too long ago. We went out on the boat as a family of three and then took Pops' boat out the following day.

This girl loves to drive the boat!

Addi Kate's Hobbies...

This little girl is into so many things this month. Here are just a few of her hobbies...

Reading:
She started saying book this month and has a few books that are her favorites... Elm Book and How Does Baby Feel.

Dogs:
She adores Kodi (which was also her first word), but she is also loving all of Jilly's dogs. This picture is too cute for words!

Writing and Drawing:
Addi will spend a lot of time writing/drawing. She does like to color, but not near as much as she likes to use a pen to write/draw.

 Swimming:
This child just LOVES water. She likes the pool, the ocean, the river, and her water table. She's our very own little mermaid!

Life is never dull with this sweet girl!

First Real Sickness...

We knew it was going to happen, but we had hoped it wouldn't happen so soon after starting school...but Addi got sick. She attended school for just three days and came down with  her first runny nose and cough, which soon followed with pink eye AND an ear infection. When we do something in the Knight Home, we do it BIG!!!

We literally made three trips to see our doctor within a week period. Here is a pic of Addi getting a breathing treatment to help break up all the mucus...

Bless her heart :(

Although it took her around 10 days to fully recover, she was always in a good mood and just as silly as ever. Unfortunately, we spent quite a few mornings up at the crack of dawn playing...I think mainly because she was having a hard time breathing.

Here she is at about 4:00 a.m. one morning that week...
And then another morning we learned how much fun a box can be...
We are so thankful for a good doctor and good medicine. Our little girl is back to normal and just as happy as ever!
