Happy Birthday Addison: 21 months

Dear Addison Kate,

On November 2, you turned 21 months. Your great-grandmother, Memaw, said it best when she called you "brilliant." You aren't just the smartest little girl we know, but creative, thoughtful, and clever.

You have never met a stranger, you just love people. You like to sing, talk on the phone, dance, play outside, and take care of your baby dolls. You've started to be quite the "momma" and feed, hug, rock, and even change your baby's diaper. I love seeing you act like a "momma" and I hope one day you'll get to experience the same love I feel for you with your own baby. 

You have started to smile for the camera...which makes it so much easier for Mommy and Daddy to snap photos of you :) 

You are tall and have really slimmed down. I can't believe how chubby your little face was when you were little...you are definitely a little Skinny Minnie now :)

You have us all wrapped around your little finger, Addison. 

Happy 21 months and never forget that we love you MORE than the world!

Great Grandparent Visit and the A-MAIZ-ing Acres...

Addi's great grandparents came for a visit in November and we all went to a local place called Connor's A-maiz-ing Acres. It was so much fun and we definitely plan on visiting it again next year when it opens back up.

I'm not sure what Addison loved more about our visit to Connor's, but the train was definitely in her top three!!! 

Another favorite was being able to ride one of the horses. This little girl LOVES all animals...

We had a fabulous visit from our grandparents (Addi's great grandparents) and look forward to them coming again! 

Halloween 2014...

I'm not even going to make excuses this time for being SO FAR BEHIND on my posts :( Being a mommy, wife, daughter, and Principal is keeping me super busy! So without further ado...here are some pics from Addi Kate's 2nd Halloween.

This year Addison dressed up like a bumble bee...

The night before Addison had her first stomach bug...she was up all night and sick sick sick! I am so surprised we were able to participate in Halloween festivities at all. But, she was definitely the cutest bumble bee I had ever seen!

Her bumble bee wings were ADORABLE!!!

Pops picked up some hay again this year and we had a hayride around the neighborhood. D-ma, Jilly, and Pops came over to help us trick-or-treat. Addi really got into trick-or-treating this year. She would take her bag and walk up to the door and ask for candy. She really was a trooper after being so worn out and not getting any sleep the night before.

The entire month of October Addison was obsessed with the ghosts and pumpkins that our neighbors had in their yard. Every day when we left our neighborhood (and every morning when she woke up and every night when she went to bed) all she wanted to do was see the GHOSTS!!! Keep in mind that it's December and she's still asking about the ghosts :)

So she was thrilled that we actually let her "touch" the ghosts on Halloween night.

Here are our neighbor's kids...aren't they cute?!?! Looks like the cutest little trick-or-treaters to me!

We had such a great time this year for Halloween and we are looking forward to many many more!

2014 Pumpkin Patch...

One of my ALL time favorite holidays to celebrate is Halloween. I just love October, the cooler temperatures, the fall colors, and now that we have Addi Kate...visiting the Pumpkin Patch! This year we had the BEST time picking out pumpkins, getting Addi's face painted, and just watching the amazement in her little face as we toured the Pumpkin Patch.

All Addi Kate wanted to do was pick up EVERY SINGLE PUMPKIN!!!

She climbed the hay pile...

We had such a good time...blessed, we are blessed!

Beach Fun...

We borrowed Jilly and Pops' motorhome and stayed out at the beach in September. Addison loves the beach, the water, and now we've discovered she loves FISH too!!

The guys were fishing and using the smaller fish for bait and Addi would stick her hand in the bucket, pull out the fish, and take off running. Crazy girl!

She also enjoyed letting Cousin Mikey push her around in her little car...

That evening before we went to bed, Addi was wanting something off the counter in the motorhome. Well, after telling her "no" several times, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

It was probably a bad-mom move to take pics of her in the process, but I just couldn't help it.

Good times!

Fall...

It's Fall ya'll!!! 

The temperatures have started to fall here in Florida and we are enjoying the nice break from the heat. We've been spending quite a bit of time outside which is one of Addison's favorite things.

Happy Birthday Addison: 20 Months

Time flies...and I absolutely hate it :( Our little girl turned 20 months a few weeks ago.

We celebrated her 20 month birthday with her great grandmother, who turned 960 months(80 years old) the week prior.

Addison is really starting to talk this month. She is starting to put together phrases and it's the sweetest little voice you've ever heard. She has started to sing her ABCs and can sings "A, B, C, D....H, I..." and it's all over the place after that!!! She is also counting everything...her fingers, brings on the sidewalk, and when she's ready for Pops to take off real fast on the golf cart. 

We are constantly telling her to be nice to Kodi...she wants to hug him, lay on him, pull his tail, pull his ears, etc. Bless his heart...he just lets her do it :) 

Addi's dance moves are expanding...she can do an arabesque, tendu, passe', and chase'. When we put her in a skirt or tutu, she twirls and twirls and twirls.

Addi Kate has been pretty sick over the past month. I think we've visited the doctor's office at least 4-5 times this past month. She doesn't "feel" bad, she just has had a runny nose and a cough that won't go away. Regardless, she's the happiest baby I've ever met.

Daddy and I are looking forward to Halloween this year. Addison can tell you that she will be a bumblebee this year and we are working on saying "trick or treat." 

We love you MORE than the world sweetheart...don't you EVER forget that!
