Spring Break 2017...

We went on a staycation this year for Spring Break... we took a boat from Jacksonville to St. Augustine. You'd never know it, but it's a 3 hour trip by boat. Here we are leaving the marina...

And this little girl? She had a BLAST!!! She sat like this for a good hour...

Then she fell asleep in my lap for an hour. She woke up just in time for lunch at Safe Harbor...

Then we took another hour ride to our hotel. It was a small, but a perfect room for us.

And the view from our balcony was pretty awesome too!

After we settled in, we walked down to King Fish before we headed to The Beaches for dinner...

The weather was cool enough for a long sleeve shirt but we were able to sit outside and enjoy the water view.

This little girl played and played and played.

She perfected her somersault, drew her name in the sand, and chased the seagulls and pelicans. 

The next morning we took a walk to a local bait shop and went fishing. We didn't catch anything, but tried to enjoy the boat even though it was a gloomy day. We stopped for lunch at Aunt Kate's and again, Addi played on the beach while we waited for our lunch.

She was DETERMINED to catch one of the birds, but they didn't cooperate :)

Then we bundled up for our last leg of the trip back to Jacksonville. It was pretty windy and the water was rough, but it didn't stop us from having a great time. 

Looking forward to another trip to St. Augustine by boat in the near future.

Happy Spring...

We are in the middle of Spring Break 2017. We don't have big plans this year, but plan to take Addison on a few little adventures. Jilly and I took her to see Beauty and Beast...it was a hit!

And just because I can't get over the sass...

That hand on her hip is just too much for me!!!

Tire Climbing...

Kodi stayed at the "doggy hotel" so he could get groomed while we stayed the night at PonderVille. We arrived a little early, so we took advantage of the big bright tires in the front of the pet spa. 

Addi and Daddy climbed on top of the tires. Unfortunately, Addi couldn't quite figure out how to get down, but she enjoyed climbing on top of the tires over and over and over again while we waited for Kodi.

She was pretty proud of herself!

Finally Kodi was ready and it's evident that this little girl was happy to be reunited with her brother.

And by the look of Kodi's face, he was pretty happy too!

2017 St. Patrick's Day...

We had a lot of fun this year explaining St. Patrick's Day to Addison. She was very curious about the leprechaun...who he is, what he looks like, why he has a pot of gold, where he lives, etc. It was the highlight of her day to see the pot of gold he left for her on St. Patrick's Day morning. 

She thinks she is RICH and wants to purchase a dress she saw at the Public Library :)

The leprechaun also made Addi a green breakfast that morning...complete with a green muffin and green milk!

Daddy got her all dressed in her shamrock outfit and took a few photos for me. I can't believe how tall Addi Kate is now!!!!

She had a St. Patrick's Day party at school that day and talked non-stop about the leprechaun trap they made. But unfortunately, they didn't catch the leprechaun :( Maybe next year!

And this last picture is just unbelievable!!! Where in the world did my baby go????

I definitely felt pretty lucky this St. Patrick's Day!

Playground Fun...

Addi and I spent a Sunday afternoon at the playground in St. Augustine. She would stay there FOREVER, if I would let her. 

She is definitely a little monkey and loves to climb on everything.

It's fun to watch her make friends. She will walk up to just about any kid at the playground and say "Hi my name is Addison. What's your name?" 

I hope one day she truly understands how much I love her and how I STILL can't believe she's my daughter. 

Mischief...

This little girl of mine has definitely discovered mischief! 

If I don't have my eyes on her 24/7, I'm guaranteed to discover her into something. This time, she decided to use some of my lotion as hair product!!!

She is definitely a little stinker! 

The PBR...

Since we couldn't take Addison to Houston's Livestock Show and Rodeo, we took her to Jacksonville's PBR (professional bull riding) competition. David received VIP seats and we took advantage of sharing this experience with Addison. Our seats were PHENOMENAL!!!

We were literally 3 rows back from the stage! The bull riding was intense and dangerous. I always knew it was dangerous, but being so close really made you realize how tough these guys are!

Addi's favorite part was eating this ice cream cone! She almost finished the entire thing :)

She was also pretty interested in the life-size Chickfila cow. And she just might have pulled on his tail a few times!

We had a great time at the PBR...looking forward to next year or a possible visit to Houston's Livestock Show and Rodeo!
