Gifts, gifts, and MORE gifts...

After Addi Kate's birthday party, we went out to dinner with our immediate family and then came home to open her gifts. I LOVE watching her facial expressions as she opened her gifts...priceless!

I love that she pretend-reads the cards. For example..."Happy Birthday Addi Kate! I hope you have a great birthday. Love, Maya"

She received lots of fun and unique gifts...like this fairy garden.

She also really liked this Rapunzel head where she can brush and style her hair.

She also received a few gift cards that she'll get to spend in the next few days!

Addi Kate's Sweet Pete's Party...

It seems as if Addi Kate's fifth birthday has been the ENTIRE month of February :)

We finally had her "friend" birthday party at Sweet Pete's this past weekend. It is a three story renovated building that has an awesome restaurant and an old school style ice cream parlor. One of my favorite things about Sweet Pete's is definitely the decor...and this oversized chairs on the porch are no exception!

We definitely had take Addi's picture with Mr. Sweet Pete himself!

Addison Kate's Party was on the 2nd floor in an adorable room.

I'd say by the look on her face, she approved of the room, as well as the cupcake cover on her chair :)

Once the kids arrived, they received a lesson on how to make lollipops.

They were pretty mesmerized....

Then they got creative with their lollipop designs...

They made heart lollipops, unicorn lollipops, lollipops with their initials...

And even mustache lollipops!

Addi Kate's lollipop plate was OVERFLOWING by the end of the session!

After the candy making session, the kids took a tour of the shop and learned how they make all the candy...

They were in the process of making all the Easter candy and chocolate bunnies...look at all that chocolate!!!

It was a great day with lots of smiles!

Heart Day...

We had a fun Heart Day this year!!! Starting off with a few special treats for our little Valentine...

I found these cool personalized straws...aren't they neat???

Addison made Daddy a special Valentine breakfast :)

And what is a holiday without a little Snapchat fun???

We came home to a special candlelight dinner that Daddy set up...

It was Addison's first candlelight dinner and she was so excited! Even her little stuffed animal enjoyed it :)

Learning to tie a bow...

Addi has experienced and learned so many new things in the few short weeks she's been FIVE! One of them is learning how to tie a bow. 

I'm so proud of this smart girl!!!

First Haircut...

Yes, I know Addi Kate is five years old, but this was her first haircut at the salon. I trimmed her hair periodically but this was her first experience having it done at the salon and she LOVED it! She's gone with me several times, but was thrilled to be finally the person getting her hair washed, cut, and blown out. I mean, look at that smile!!!

Finally her turn!!! She enjoyed getting her hair washed and told me that she understood why I talk about how much I love it when Ms. Bruna washes me hair :)

Family Birthday Celebration...

Since Addison's real birthday party isn't until a few weeks, we thought we would host a small family birthday celebration for her this past weekend.

We had the most amazing birthday cake!!!!

Addi absolutely loved it!

And the strawberry filling made it even more fabulous!

Addi opened lots of fun gifts, but she especially liked the flowers and watering can Uncle Tim brought over for her cottage...

Every year we play a "pin the _____ on Addi Kate" game, so of course this year we had to keep the tradition.

To go along with her birthday cake theme, we pinned ice cream cones on Addi Kate :)

The kids (and adults) had fun putting the ice cream on Addi Kate!

Addi Kate couldn't wait to blow out her candles and make a wish.
