Destin 2020

We took our annual Destin trip with the Provitolas this year. We visited some of our favorites, like the Crab Trab. This child has NO personality :)

We also took our family pic on the pier...

Addi was super excited to meet up with her friends. These kids never skip a beat and pick up right where they left off the year before.

The water was GORGEOUS this year and the older kids had fun boogie boarding.

The Knights and Provitolas!

2nd Grade

Even though we ended Addison's school year virtually, I still had her take an end of the school year pic. This first day vesus last day picture really shows how much she grew during 1st grade.

And now she is off to SECOND GRADE!!!

So grown up!

And of course we had to get a picture of our mask-wearing 2nd grader :(

Dance Recital 2020

Addison participated in her fourth dance recital this year. Instead of being held at the Times Union Center, it was held in a ballroom in the hotel across the street where we normally stay the night. It was also a virtual performance, so only her Daddy and I could see her perform in person.

Here she is on dress rehearsal day...

LOVE that bun head!

I was able to help Addi change in between her pieces. This year she was in two pieces...gymnastics and ballet.

I absolutely LOVED her ballet costume this year...a pretty blue that matched her eyes.

The grandparents came to the hotel to help us celebrate our tiny dancer and brought her lots of flowers.

We had a to get a family pic...

And well...we needed one like this too!

Easter 2020

The Easter Bunny visited Addi Kate again this year and brought LOTS of goodies!

And maybe a PEACOCK too!

It's a tradition for the Easter Bunny to bring Addi  a new swimsuit and beach towel.

We went to PonderVille for lunch and to hunt Easter Eggs. But like I keep saying, it just wasn't the same. On Easter Sunday, PonderVille is normally packed with lots of family and we have games and a big Easter Egg Hunt.

This year it was just Jilly and Pops and our family. On positive note, Addi might have enjoyed being able to find ALL the eggs this year instead of competing with her cousines.

Our family of THREE!

Pre-Easter 2020

Easter this year was LOTS of fun! We were able to find some fun activities to keep little Miss Addison busy, active and engaged.

Glow in the dark Easter eggs! I saw on Pinterest that you could put glow sticks in plastic Easter eggs and hide them. This was a big hit at our house!

One of our favorite artists, Kim Wheeler at Smallwords Art, created these adorable Easter Egg canvases. The are similar to the Christmas Tree canvases that we do each year.

Hopefully this will be a new Easter tradition for us.

We also found this cool way to decorate Easter eggs. Addi could spend hours with this machine...if only we had enough boiled eggs!

And of course we dyed Easter eggs the traditional way too.

Dance and Violin Lessons

Prior to COVID, Addison kept us busy with her dance and violin lessons. Eventually her teachers figured out a way to contine her lessons virtually. So this is what dance, gymnastics, and violin lessons looked like...

We were so grateful that Santa brought Addi Kate a ballet barre and gym mat last Christmas.

Both came in handy during quarantine...

While lessons like this were not ideal, Addison was still able to enjoy dancing and playing her violin.

We will always remember Addison's FIRST violin recital...it was virtual! She did a great job playing Oh Come Little Children in our kitchen.
