Easter 2015...

We had a great Easter holiday this year. The older Addison gets, the more she understands about the holidays, what they symbolize/represent, and how important it is to spend holidays with family.

We started off the season with a successful trip to see the Easter Bunny...

Followed by a night of Easter Egg decorating...

The Easter Bunny brought Addi Kate lots of goodies...a teepee, Sophia the First and Elsa/Anna/Olaf drinking mugs, a set of pajamas, lip gloss, and of course lots and lots of jellybeans!

She was so excited to open each and every plastic egg to see what was inside...

Daddy made us an adorable Easter Bunny pancake...complete with a fluffy strawberry tail :)

Addison really got into finding the hidden Easter Eggs in the yard. We were so surprised at how quickly she figured out how to find the eggs and then put them in her basket...

We had our family Easter celebration at Ponderville again this year. We took some family photos outside (and inside) the Pink House. It is pretty special to know that this door was on the house that belonged to Addi's great grandparents...I know Poppy would have thought Addi hung the moon as much as we do :)

The Knight Family of THREE!!!

Addi and her favorite cousin, Mikey.

Me and my best girl...

We invited a few friends over for the celebration too. Here is Addison with our neighbor's little girl, Craven. Would you believe that Craven is only 3 months younger than Addi?!?! Addison sure is tall for her age.

We were also thrilled to invite Ashley (owner of SheSheMade) to our family celebration. Her three little ones are just adorable and I couldn't be happier to know that she lives just 10 minutes from us now :) Here is Jack and Judd searching for eggs...

And finally, a picture of some of the kids after the Easter Egg hunt...

We sure are blessed!

The Hair...

I hoped and dreamed that Addi Kate would have better hair than I do. But I had no idea how gorgeous it really was going to be!

I have had several people ask me when I was going to cut her hair, but I plan on waiting until it is all one length before I do that.

It is long enough to go into pigtails...

It can be pulled back into a low ponytail...

But of course my favorite is just down with a side bow...

Can you believe how pretty blonde it still is???

I can definitely see her wearing big bows in her hair for cheerleading or dance competitions...

Man, I love her to pieces!!!

Flower Girl...

Addison's 3rd cousin got married the weekend following her surgery. They had asked us a long time ago if Addi would be the flower girl and of course we were thrilled. But we were a little worried about how she would feel being so close to her surgery. But she did a great job! Well...as great a job as you could expect from a 2 year old :)

I was definitely nervous after watching her at the rehearsal. She would NOT keep still! And after she walked down the aisle, she pretended the gazebo was a "stage" and ran around in circles and danced.

Luckily her Cousin Mikey was the ring bearer. And because she looks up to him so much, she would hold his hand and follow his every move.

I think one of the highlights from the wedding was a surprise the Bride's parents gave to her...a horse drawn carriage ride to and from the ceremony. Addi LOVES animals, and Richard the horse was no different.

She hugged Richard over and over again, gave him kisses, and just couldn't get enough of him!

Before the ceremony began, we took an adorable picture of the flower girl and the ring bearer.

MY favorite part of the wedding was watching Addi Kate's face when she saw rode on the horse drawn carriage with "Cinderella," aka the Bride :)

Addi and Mikey did a great job at walking down the aisle. They walked hand-in-hand and to my surprise, she didn't run and dance in the gazebo.

She stood by the bridesmaids...well, all of 1 minute, before Mommy had to grab her and take her to the side.

After the wedding she was able to run and dance in the gazebo while the rest of the bridal party took pictures.

But overall, I think she did a great job at being the flower girl!

Surgery...

Addi Kate had her first surgery the beginning of April. She had her tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in her ears. She had been consistently sick for months and after the ENT took a look at her HUGE tonsils, it was obvious what we needed to do.

So we scheduled the procedure and it was actually a LOT better than what we had expected. I honestly think it was harder on us, the parents, than on Addison.

The procedure started out with Addi receiving a little pre-medication. And you can tell by this picture that she was feeling quite a bit loopy :)

The entire surgery took all of 20 minutes...thank goodness! After the anesthesia wore off, you would never have known this littler girl had just been in surgery!

That afternoon our little girl had several guests come to the hospital for a visit. Jilly and Pops came by with some markers, a coloring book, and a Hello Kitty lunchbox.

D-ma visited and brought her some flashcards, markers, and a balloon...this girl loves to color and she loves balloons!!!

But I would have to say that her Cousin Mikey was probably her favorite visitor. They played with the balloons, colored, and took a ride on the hospital bus.

We are so thankful that Addi Kate had this surgery and did so well. She could immediately hear better and her voice and words became so much clearer.

Now for the fun part...ICE CREAM!!!

Ready for Summer...

Addi received this adorable bathing suit from Jilly and Pops. So since the weather was warm over Spring Break, we decided to try it out...

What a sassy girl!

Pointing her toe for a tendu!

Simply gorgeous! We are so blessed!

Random Addi Kate...

Here are a few random Addi Kate moments we've had over the past few  months...

Daddy painted her fingernails and she LOVED them. She will sit perfectly still while getting her nails painted :)

We tried out the sponge rollers. Unfortunately she would only wear them around the house. When it was time to go to sleep, she refused to keep them in. Maybe next time...

This girl loves the beach! She will play in the sand, run in the water, and chase the birds ALL DAY LONG!
Addi Kate has learned that she can reach a lot of things if she uses her step stool. She can turn the lights on and off, wash her hands in the sink, and she's even been caught pulling some things down from the counter tops!

This is Addi having fun wearing Jilly's glasses at the "west-a-want!"

Too bad she has NO personality :)

Wow!

I think this has the been the longest I've taken to give an update on our little girl. So many events have happened, so it is going to take me quite a bit of time to catch up. Here is an overview on all the things our little girl has done: she celebrated Valentine's Day, beach visits, she had her first surgery, she was a flowergirl in her cousin's wedding, she met Richard the horse and rode in a horse drawn carriage, she decorated and searched for Easter Eggs, and celebrated Easter with our family and friends! And did I mention she is 26 months already?!?!?!?  The Knight Family of Three has definitely been busy.

So without further ado, let's start on our 2015 Valentine's Day.

She had so much fun opening her "presents." Mommy and Daddy got her a set of Wizard of Oz stuffed animals and two pillow cases with her name embroidered on them.

She is definitely the LOVE of our lives!
