We had a big ultrasound and appointment today with the High Risk doctor. They had a long conversation with us about all the potential risks involved with having a baby at my age, with our infertility history, miscarriages, Crohn's Disease, etc. BUT...I truly believe that God brought us through this journey for a reason, hand-made this perfect baby just for us, and is going to continue to protect this miracle through pregnancy, birth, and for a lifetime!
After our conversation (and lots and lots of prayer), we had our ultrasound. It was a long ultrasound...thank goodness, because it seemed like FOREVER since the last time we saw our baby. They were looking for any indication that the baby might have Downs Syndrome or any other genetic disease. Two of the indicators that they look for are the bone in the nose and the tissue behind the neck. Praise the Lord that both of these looked fabulous today. As a matter of fact, the doctor said we had a textbook ultrasound and the baby looked great!
We might be a little biased, but we think he/she looks pretty perfect (if we do say so ourselves)...
Just look at that sweet profile!!!
We are head over heels in love!!
Love you Baby Knight...more than the world :)
