Mother's Day...

My first Mother's Day...just typing those words makes my eyes well up with tears.

Last year for Mother's Day, I received a box of chocolate covered strawberries with this note...

What a difference a year makes. This year, I received this note...

This note was tucked sweetly in these two dozen tulips...

My heart EXPLODED when I read the card and of course I balled my eyes out too :)

All I wanted to do on my first Mother's Day was spend every single moment with my greatest gift...

And that is exactly what we did! We snuggled, kissed, played, and even hung out in the backyard while Daddy mowed the yard.

Daddy had a fun treat for me that involved these ingredients...

We made molds of Addi Kate's hands and feet...

Then Daddy and Addi surprised me with this VERY special gift...

My first Mother's Day was every thing I could have imagined. I will cherish the memories I made with my family that day forever.

I am so thankful for my sweet girl and I love that God chose ME to be her Mommy.

Oh goodness!! What a wonderful Mother's Day for you! It brought tears to my eyes seeing this post the happiness you have. I love your gifts and especially the footprints-- you can also do a neat trick with paint and her feet.. you put the footprints side by side on paper or poster board/picture board and then put a little "butterfly body" between them.. they are the cutest gifts for family and such. I have a picture of one that my Godddaughter made for me (well her mom) when she was about 6 months old.. if you want to email me personally I can show you! Anywho-- I'm tickled pink that you enjoyed your day and overwhelmed with happiness for you! xoxo

When I first read this post, I literally welled up with tears of pure JOY and HAPPINESS! I know you have been waiting to post this very post for so many LONG years and because of the faith that you and David kept, you finally celebrated your first Mothers Day with such a bundle of joy! Addison is truly blessed to have you for a Mommy and David for a Daddy. She is so loved and adored by the two of you and will be forever in a special place in my heart as well! I am so excited for this new chapter of your lives and how happy the two of you are, every picture I see of you two with her brings such a HUGE smile to my face...I love you all and am happy for Addison to be here in our lives!

I love you to the Moon lil Munchkin,
Aunt Lisha
