Happy Birthday Addison: 22 months

Dear Addison Kate,

On December 2, you turned 22 months. Where in the world does the time go? You are at such a fun age right now. You are able to really communicate with us and tell us how you feel, what you want, and what you like and dislike ALL THE TIME!

You are so grown up and have really gotten into the spirit of  Christmas! We haven't visited Santa yet but I'm sure you will love him to pieces!! You know that Santa lives at the  North Pole and Daddy taught you that reindeer fly up in the air. Your elf, Missy Mistletoe, is back this year and you've enjoyed finding her each morning and learning the lessons she has to share. You have really gotten into Christmas Lights this year and you scream CHRISTMAS LIGHTS every time we see some :) I must have told you over and over and over again this year that you can't touch the stockings, you can't touch the Christmas Tree, and you can't touch Missy....because you tell me all the time "don't touch!"

This month you were introduced to the Disney movie Frozen...and oh my goodness! You love Elsa, Anna, and Olaf...but I think you adore all the singing the most! Your little version of Let it Go melts our hearts :)

You have also been telling us when you have gone to the restroom in your diaper, so we are planning to try and potty train you this holiday. You've always been a good eater and a good sleeper, but recently, we've noticed that these two times are challenging. We are going to start feeding you more "real" food...the food that we eat, and hopefully this will do the trick. We also read that now that you are older, you don't need as much sleep. So instead of sleeping 12 hours at night AND taking a nap, you are only sleeping 9-10 hours with your nap. So we are planning to move your bed time to a little later and see if that helps.

One of your new words is "mine." We have been really working on teaching you how to share and hope that this words leaves your vocabulary ASAP!!! On a positive note, you use thank you, please, you're welcome, and I love you on a regular basis...and that makes us very HAPPY!

Only two more months until your 2nd birthday!

We love you more than the world Addison!
