When we returned to Florida, we learned that schools would be shutting down and we would be forced to stay at home. We took one more trip to the store to make sure we had a plenty of supplies. I think Addison's face in this pic says it all...
The shelves in most stores were pretty much empty. No toilet paper, papertowels, cleaning supplies, etc. Luckily we were able to stock up and didn't have to go without.
The rest of the school year looked pretty much like this...
Our district implemented what we call Duval HomeRoom...where all the kids learn virtually.
Addison did a good job at finishing the school year, but it was HARD. Keeping her focused, working and teaching her at the same time, making sure all her work was uploaded correctly. It was a very interesting way to end the 2019-2020 school year.
This also meant we had a lot of down time. So we did our best to fill it with crafts and fun activities. I had my parents bring over this painting station that Dad made for her a few years ago. We made it a daily routine to go outside and let her paint.
A lot of people were chalk painting their driveways and sidewalks, so we decided to do the same.
Be the Light!
Beautiful, like a rainbow :)
We were determined not to let COVID bring us down.
