Staying Busy

We learned quickly that we needed to make sure Addison stayed busy. Instead of sitting in front of the TV or laptop all day, we tried to spend as much time outside or making crafts.

Addison took her babies for walks...

Storytime with her babies...

She made LOTS of slime!!!!

She baked cookies...

She enjoyed bubbles by the pool....

Lots of bubbles :)

She swam and jumped on the trampoline...

And crafts!!! This was an Earth Day craft that we found. You just need a paper plate, ziploc bag, and some green and blue dye.

And she might have talked Daddy into letting her temporarily dye her hair PINK!!!

Start of COVID

When we returned to Florida, we learned that schools would be shutting down and we would be forced to stay at home. We took one more trip to the store to make sure we had a plenty of supplies. I think Addison's face in this pic says it all...

The shelves in most stores were pretty much empty. No toilet paper, papertowels, cleaning supplies, etc. Luckily we were able to stock up and didn't have to go without.

The rest of the school year looked pretty much like this...

Our district implemented what we call Duval HomeRoom...where all the kids learn virtually.

Addison did a good job at finishing the school year, but it was HARD. Keeping her focused, working and teaching her at the same time, making sure all her work was uploaded correctly. It was a very interesting way to end the 2019-2020 school year.

This also meant we had a lot of down time. So we did our best to fill it with crafts and fun activities. I had my parents bring over this painting station that Dad made for her a few years ago. We made it a daily routine to go outside and let her paint.

A lot of people were chalk painting their driveways and sidewalks, so we decided to do the same.

Be the Light!

Beautiful, like a rainbow :)

We were determined not to let COVID bring us down.

Well...COVID

It has been almost an entire year since I updated Addison's blog. My only excuse...COVID! After Addison's 7th birthday party, we took a trip to Texas to visit family over Spring Break. Little did we know that our world would change after that trip. Nonetheless, we made the most out of quarantine and have tried to make everything has normal as possible.

Here are a few pics from our Texas Spring Break trip before the pandemic hit...

We visited Addison's great grandma, Memaw. Three generations in this photo...I so wish Jilly was on this trip with us, we would have had four generations :)

She got lots of love and hugs from her Uncles.

Addi had blast with all her cousins. Here she is with Ellie at her other great grandmother's house,  Mother.

Aunt Tedra took us to visit her brother and he lives on a HUGE property with all kinds of animals. Addison was in Heaven!

Then Aunt Tedra took us to American Girl. It was the first time for Addison to visit the store. OVERLOAD!!!!

We then headed to Burton to visit her other great-grandmother,  Grandmother.

Standing in front of the old well at the Ponder Ranch.

It was a much needed Spring Break with our Texas family.

Addi Kate Turns 7

Addi Kate had the BEST DAY EVER with her Rapunzel themed birthday party.

We had our traditional Pin the _____ on Addi Kate. This year, the kids placed Pascal on Addi Kate's shoulder...just like Rapunzel!

Girlie Girl Parteas decorated and transfored our house into the Best Day Ever themed party for us again this year.

The girls had their hair braded just like Rapunzel and topped it off with a crown, of course.

Addi Kate had a surprise visitor...Rapunzel herself!

The girls then painted their very own sun...justl like Rapunzel.

Birthday pic with the grandparents!

Family pic!

And we couldn't forget that Addi Kate shares a special  day with her grandparents. Happy 47th anniversary to Jilly and Pops!
